Health / Safety Advisor – Alliance Group Ltd – Tasman

Applications are invited for a full time salaried position of Health & Safety Advisor at the Alliance Nelson plant.

Applicants must hold a current NZ work visa or have NZ residency.

A sound understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace and any related qualifications and previous experience in a similar position, would be an advantage.

The Role:

Ensure compliance with H&S legislation
Accident recording/trends analysis
Incident/accident investigations
Hazard management
Be involved with developing and implementing strategies to improve health and safety performance
Communication with internal and external personnel
Manage safety inspection/audits
Undertake safety inductions
Sound computer skills are essential.

The successful applicant will be motivated and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills and must be able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised.

Knowledge of the meat industry or a similar processing operation would be an advantage.
