Regional Relationship Manager – Southern – Ministry of Youth Development – Ministry of Social Development

This includes:
building and managing relationships with key stakeholders internal and external e.g. Iwi relationships, community groups, local government, MSD Programme managers and Regional representatives, philanthropic and business sector
working cooperatively with the community to identify emergent needs and gaps in youth development services to provide advice on practical solutions to enhance system design, policy development and service delivery for youth
collating and reporting on information, including trends, challenges and opportunities for the Ministry and other key stakeholders
providing quality information related to contracting in response to Ministerial requests, Parliamentary questions, OIA and other stakeholders
contributing to the development of a positive and proactive team culture, actively participating in the team reaching its full potential.

Skills and Experience
Your excellent communication and networking skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders and build strong relationships. Important to this role is the ability to work in a collaborative and innovative way in cross-sector settings.
Other critical skills would include an understanding of youth development principles and the youth sector, some experience of contracting with non-government organisations and excellent relationship management skills.
In addition, you will need a relevant tertiary qualification, an ability to work with ambiguity and to move quickly in a dynamic environment. A working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of the Ministry are important.
The salary range for this position is $72k – $109k depending on skills and experience.
