The PSA, Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi, is the largest union in New Zealand, Aotearoa and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing 150 staff throughout New Zealand. The PSA, Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi, has created 10 new leadership positions within our organisation. These roles are fulltime and could be based out of any of our central or regional offices.
We are looking for people with union leadership skills, and comprehensive experience as a union organiser or equivalent is critical.
The core purpose of the National Sector Leader role is:
To provide leadership, guidance and direction on all aspects of organising, including bargaining and prioritisation. This includes providing mentoring, collegial and professional support to organising teams and organisers.
To provide industrial leadership, to assist sector-based organising teams to work with delegate and bargaining teams to achieve organising objectives and to work with sector committees to develop organising strategies consistent with the union’s strategic plan.
