The QEII National Trust is an independent charitable trust that works in conservation on privately owned land. They encourage and promote the protection, preservation and enhancement of special areas across Aotearoa. QEII works in partnership with private landowners to protect our natural and cultural heritage to benefit present and future generations.
QEII is looking for a new Manager Communications and Information to lead the external and internal communications for the Trust. This is a key role for QEII, reporting to the Chief Executive and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team.
You will be responsible for promoting the work and raising awareness of QEII as well as being the brand guardian and owner of enhancing and delivering the communications strategy. The role is responsible for geospatial, covenant and membership data, with experts in these areas in the team. This role will grow as QEII takes on new challenges and will include fundraising and implementing a legacy gifting programme.
To be the successful candidate who will have demonstrable leadership and people management experience. You will lead a team of four staff in a way that inspires them to perform at their best. You will oversee the implementation of the digital and social media strategy and be responsible for managing the website so that all information is relevant and engaging.
Experience working with government agencies would be useful. In your cover letter, demonstrate your affinity with the Trust’s vision to inspire new protection and stewardship to protect special areas in private ownership.
