Position: General Manager
Reports to: GIFC Trust Board
Hours: 32-40 per week/full time (negotiable)
Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 per annum
Term: Permanent
Location: Glen Innes Family Centre, 122 Elstree Ave, Point England, Auckland 1072
This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic manager who has a passion for people and delivering social services that are central to the wellbeing of people in Glen Innes.

The role
will take a long term perspective to managing the Glen Innes Family Centre (GIFC), overseeing delivery of services, compliance requirements and attracting funding.The organisation is at a key point in its journey, with growth in demand for its services, growth in team members and expansion into social enterprise initiatives. We have recently completed an extensive overhaul of systems, processes and policies. You will work to embed these new ways of working, tweak and evolve them as required over time.

On a day to day basis, you will work closely with GIFC team members, the Trust Board, local marae and key people in the community. How GIFC is perceived externally by stakeholders and the community will be something you handle with great care. There is significant potential to work in partnership with a number of key organisations within Glen Innes, this role will develop and explore these opportunities.
Staff oversight and development will fall within your remit, along with the contracts and other income that provide the resource to deliver services. The organisation has a strong team and financial base for you to work with and build upon.
The ideal candidate will prioritise improving peoples well-being alongside business requirements, be outcomes focused, able to take a long term view while managing day to day aspects of the organisation, have a relational approach to the management of staff and stakeholders, and enjoy a challenge. Being open to critique and feedback will be critical to your success in the role.
