Fundraising Manager – Hospice New Zealand

Job Description
Hospice New Zealand is the national organisation representing the interests of the hospice palliative care sector across Aotearoa New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead and support the hospice movement in New Zealand, working to ensure equity of access and consistent delivery of palliative and end of life care for all New Zealanders.

Corporate partnerships are the cornerstone of our fundraising work nationally, making significant contributions both financially and through awareness raising each year. We are proud and honoured to have a significant number of partnerships with businesses throughout New Zealand, each contributes nationally to the work of hospice and locally in each community where a hospice is located. Each of these partnerships is valued and nurtured.
As the Fundraising Manager, you will develop an effective corporate engagement strategy and framework and manage the existing partnerships and events that are in place. You will also be responsible for securing the grants required to support our work nationally.
There are great foundations in place, and we are looking for a creative and innovative Fundraising Manager to take them to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership and make your mark for one of New Zealand’s most well-regarded essential health services and not for profit organisations.
This is a 30 hour a week position with a salary range of $70-$80,000 pro rata. The role is based in Wellington CBD with flexibility to work from home on a regular basis.

Person Profile:
Previous corporate relationship management experience at a senior level
Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking, planning and execution
Ability to identify and develop potential new opportunities
Excellent project organisational skills and ability to develop and work to a plan, while managing competing priorities
Event management skills and experience
High level of written and oral communication and presentation skills
Personable with the ability to relate to people from a diverse range of backgrounds
Understanding and empathy towards the mission and values of Hospice
