Executive Co-ordinator – Ministry for Primary Industries – Wellington

Job Description
About the Role
As an Executive Coordinator, you’ll provide dedicated personal assistance to one of the Directors within the Regulation and Assurance Branch and support to the wider Directorate. A key part of the role is to manage the Director’s daily schedule to ensure a seamless flow of information and commitments. This is done through diary, event, and meeting management.

In the role, you will also:
Coordinate team functions
Manage reports and collate data
Arrange travel
Support priority events or specific pieces of work
This is a unique and exciting opportunity – roles like this don’t come along very often!

Skills and Experience
You’ll be experienced in providing 1:1 support at a senior level, ideally in the public sector. An eye for the important will allow you to coordinate a busy diary and keep track of the business of the branch. Your strong initiative means you’ll quickly learn how the Director operates and confidently make decisions on their behalf when needed. You’ll likely have a reputation as a go-to-person who can juggle priorities and deadlines with ease.

You’ll also:
Have great relationship management skills
Remain calm and focussed under pressure
Be able to develop and maintain systems and procedures
Have the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
Be comfortable operating in a degree of ambiguity
