Education Administration Officer – Down Syndrome Queensland – Brisbane

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Education Team at DSQ plays a vital role in supporting the educational community across Queensland to provide best practice educational opportunities for students with intellectual disability by providing timely, relevant and up to date advice, support and resources.   The team consults with educators from P-12 across Queensland to support them in including children with intellectual disability in their classroom. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and systems support to ensure the services provided are timely and efficient.
The role is based in Brisbane (Ascot) and is part-time between 20 and 30 hours a week, with some flexibility regarding hours and location.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing timely administration support and assistance to the Education Team.
Support risk management, funding compliance and business performance improvement within the Education Team.
Assist the Lead Education Consultant with all aspects of grant reporting.
Manage relationships with Schools and service users.
Manage the Education CRM Portal and associated records.
Support the delivery of workshops and webinars.
Liaise with schools to coordinate consultations.
Book accommodation, flights and hire cars as needed for consultations.
Other duties as specified from time to time which are in keeping with the skills level and competence of the role

PREFERRED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:
Significant administration experience in and Education setting
A strong interest in and understanding of inclusive education
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Highly developed computer and technology skills including CRM or database, MS Office products and basic design packages such as Canva
A strong work ethic with a collaborative team approach
Strong organizational skills
To be successful in this role you will have administration and systems experience in an educational setting. A modern view of disability and a flexible and collaborative approach to your work.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo satisfactory pre-employment checks including professional referees, completion of a satisfactory police records check and working with children check.
