We’re seeking a practical, well organised, adaptable and conscientious person to be the co-ordinator for our new Church Centre in Hataitai, Wellington, for up to 24 hours a week.
This role is based in our new church centre office, in Hataitai, Wellington. We are an Anglican-Methodist Christian Parish serving the Hataitai, Kilbirnie and Lyall Bay area.
The role involves three key responsibilities: marketing, customer care and centre management. You will pro-actively promote the availability of the All Saints Church Centre for hire throughout business networks and the community. You will liaise with hirers, being available to answer enquiries, quote hiring rates, manage bookings, process contracts and provide hirer support and customer care as required. You will also need to personally ensure the Centre environment, and all items for hire, are kept in top condition, tidy and presented as the hirer has requested. You’ll additionally need to closely liaise with our Church’s Manager to facilitate All Saints’ own regular use of the Centre.
On occasions, you will need to be available outside of standard hours, such as weekends and evening hours, if hirers request support.
You must be a NZ resident and have a current, full NZ driver’s licence.
A “can-do, will-do” attitude, good relationship building skills, and an ability to communicate clearly and get on well with all kinds of people will be key to this role. Experience working in a customer care related business will be preferred.
