Audit Methodology Role – Manager, Methodology (fixed term)
Audit New Zealand is the largest provider of audit and assurance services to the public sector. We’re committed to delivering the highest quality service to our clients. We operate under a professional services model, which is consistent with a private sector auditing and assurance firm. We’re looking for a Manager, Methodology to cover parental leave until December 2020. Although we’re ideally looking for someone who has experience as a manager, we would also consider people with experience as an assistant manager.

The Manager,
Methodology will support the Associate Director, Methodology and be responsible for:
assisting with the development, application, and quality assurance of audit and assurance methodologies;
assisting with investigating and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team about audit and assurance matters affecting Audit New Zealand;
providing independent, high-quality, consistent, and authoritative advice and support to staff on auditing and professional matters; and
training staff in auditing, professional, and ethical matters and contributing to the professional development programme.
It’s essential that you’re a Chartered Accountant (or have a similar recognised professional qualification), with at least three years post-qualifying experience (one year for an assistant manager), preferably in external audit, and ideally in the public sector. The successful person can be based in either our Wellington or Christchurch offices.
