The Procurement and Projects team sits within the Finance and Performance Group of MBIE and is responsible for undertaking an incredibly broad and interesting range of procurement and project activities.

About the position:

This newly created position reporting to the Team Leader Procurement Support sits within MBIE’s Finance and Performance Group.

As a Procurement Support Coordinator you will undertake a range of procurement support activity including:

Maintenance of self-service channels
Maintenance of the Contract Management System/Database
Management of national contracts and reporting e.g. travel and New Zealand Post
General support for procurement queries
Tendering support for small sized, lower complexity transactions where an existing contract or panel can be used.

Key skills/experience required:

Strong communication and customer service skills
Previous experience in and ability  to use a wide range of business systems and IT applications i.e. a practical proficiency in MS Excel
An eye for detail
The ability to present information effectively to meet the needs of the audience
The ability to collate, analyse and develop targeted reporting from complex data sets
Able to assist with supplier financial analysis, development of evaluation frameworks, development of pricing models
Tertiary qualification, preferably in a business relevant discipline or comparable relevant experience
