PART TIME AVIATION SECURITY OFFICER (Warranted)
The Aviation Security Service is jointly responsible with the New Zealand Police for security at security-designated airports and air navigation facilities. Avsec is the official provider of aviation security services in New Zealand.
We are currently looking for Part time Aviation Security Service Officers (Warranted) to work from Auckland Airport. You will be required to work a regular shift pattern including weekend’s religious and public holidays and can expect to work at least 6.5 hours per shift. These roles are rostered on a shift work basis over 24 hours 7 days per week, worked on a six days on three days off rotating roster. We require physically fit, reliable, customer focused individuals.
As a warranted Aviation Security Officer you will be required to undertake a range of duties including;
Screening passengers and their carry-on baggage;
Screening checked baggage;
Screening of airport workers;

Full training (both practical, on-the-job and classroom based) will be provided. As part of Avsec’s recruitment process, applicants are required to pass all written & verbal assessments, security clearance and a pre-employment medical/drug assessment. Due to our rigorous recruitment process, final appointment into these positions may take up to three months.
Applicants must have New Zealand Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship and;
Applicants must have a full clean NZ driver’s licence
Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment day. Invitations will be based on:
Current Curriculum Vitae;
Completed Avsec Application form – can be found on our website; and
A copy of your current Drivers Licence and Passport
Failure to provide the above documentation may result in your application being declined.
Shortlisted applicants must be available to attend one assessment day early to mid-August 2015. Assessment days will take approximately 4-5 hours.
Applicants who successfully complete the Assessment days will progress through to our Interview Stage.
