VoIP Telecommunications Engineer role:
We’re looking for an experienced VoIP Telecommunications Engineer who can thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented, technology-driven environment. Experience in installing and maintaining 3CX, Panasonic and the Samsung range of business phone systems is essential.

You will consult, install, troubleshoot, maintain and optimise infrastructure for voice services in a growing market in the Waikato and beyond.

What you will need:
We are very keen to hear from candidates with 2-5 years’ experience in a VoIP engineer role who are ready for an exciting new step in their career with a fun and supportive team. Current skills and experience would need to include:

Deep understanding of VoIP technology and unified communications
Experience in carrying out site surveys and providing technical recommendations to customers
Installation and configuration of phone systems (SIP trunks, Panasonic, 3CX, Samsung)
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve quality issues related to VoIP
Basic knowledge of networking and firewalls
Customer training skills
Attending regular training courses to keep up to date with current technology
Highly analytical and detail oriented
Multi-tasking in a very fast-paced environment
Fast learner with ability to self-teach and dig through documentation
Sharing technical knowledge with colleagues and other teams
Working to defined time-scales as part of a high-performing team
Successful candidates will need to have excellent organisational, communication (verbal and written) computer and customer service skills. You will need to be extremely flexible, proactive and willing to work to high demands when required. Previous customer service experience, excellent telephone manner and the ability to use Microsoft Office packages are essential.
