We have a very multifaceted role involving our Sales, Technical support (Warranty and Controls). Our search is for experienced Mechanical or HVAC engineer who can offer support in different aspects of business.

Primary Purpose:
To handle warranty queries from agents and determine validity of these queries before authorising warranty service; and to provide parts identification and technical support.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform the following satisfactorily:
Receive and satisfactorily resolve all customer complaints pertaining to product issues.
Provide and assist Contractors, Service Personnel and customers with technical information.
To conduct periodic technical training to customers nationwide
Where necessary perform site visits to assist in diagnosis of technical product problems and their resolution.
Perform site visits to evaluate product performance and reliability in the field and to identify epidemic product problems.
Administer the commissioning of large air conditioning equipment where requested by the Sales Department.
To maintain the existing warranty database, supervise the collection and analysis of this data, and prepare reports for management review. Feedback failure information to product source. Liaise with Totaline Spare Parts to ensure sufficient replacement parts are available. Give Totaline a forecast of commonly required parts.
Manage and administer the company’s quarantine stock. This includes the records, storage, repair and scrap, and disposal of quarantined and second-hand goods.
Responsible for technical report writing on all warranty queries that will be used to support or reject a warranty request.

The ideal candidate
Tertiary qualifications or higher background in mechanical engineering or HVAC discipline
Minimum two-three years’ experience within the HVAC industry
Thorough knowledge of HVAC Commercial Products, Controls & VRF commissioning
Strong product knowledge preferably on Carrier & Toshiba or equivalent brands of
HVAC products preferably within New Zealand HVAC market.
Good oral and written negotiation and communication skills
Strong organizational, sales & presentation skills
Sound knowledge of ERP like Oracle/S2000 and PC literacy
