The primary responsibility of the role is to support the Team Manager by coordinating the day to day activities of the team, handling complex/escalated issues, and deputising for the Team Manager in their absence. The Technical Claims Specialist will also be involved in escalated negotiations with customers, and act as the first referral point for their team members, providing advice and making decisions.
We are looking for an individual who is technically adept, has strong organisational skills and able to manage their time well. The successful person will have proven relationship building skills and be an excellent communicator.
Knowledge and experience
A tertiary qualification in a relevant business area is desirable
Several years’ experience implementing domestic processes and procedures in a commercial, customer focused organisation
A strong knowledge of contracts, insurance policy and claim settlement processes
Strong relationship building skills in a complex and difficult environment
To demonstrate excellence in written, verbal and listening skills
To demonstrate dispute management and tactical decision-making capabilities
Strong planning and organizational skills
