This role will have responsibility for ownership and management of the transitioning of IT outsourced business (Infrastructure services) into the Datacom environment. This is a multi-faceted role requiring a specific blend of skills.
The purpose of the role is:
Ownership and management of the transitioning of IT outsourced business into the Datacom environment. This encompasses:
Direct Management of large, complex IT Services Transition and Transformation Projects
Relationship management with senior business and IT management within both Datacom, our prospective customers and other suppliers
Management and direction of multi-disciplined process and technical teams of up to 50 staff at a given time, including both Datacom and 3rd party suppliers
Implementation of systems and processes based upon ITIL methodologies
Technical change management for implementation of associated management tools
Technology transformation projects
Risk and Issue Management
The continuous Improvement of Datacom’s transition capability
Project managing multiple streams of work (related to transition)
Leadership, coaching and mentoring of best practice transition management
Given the mix of responsibilities we are looking for a broad range of skills and experience as below:
Significant experience in transition management of large, complex IT outsourcing arrangements
Understanding of vendor environments
Strong relationship management skills and experience
Strong customer relationship management experience up to and including CX level
Ability to understand and manage the commercial aspects associated with large and complex outsourcing contracts
Successful management of high $ value projects
Ability to lead people
Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, large, complex and multimillion dollar contracts
Ability to manage complex transition related programmes of work with extensive interdependencies
