We are looking for an experienced Drilling Engineer to support our busy Well Engineering and Operations team for a 1 year, fixed term.
Suitable applicants must have:
University degree in an engineering discipline.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in well engineering design, planning and operations.
Expertise in well design (T&D modelling, well planning, casing design), engineering tools (Landmark suite preferred), vendor selection and contracting.
Experience including site operations and well site engineering supervision of critical tasks such as critical cementation, whipstock operation, new technology implementation.
Experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) such as past involvement in field development scenario planning collaborating and being part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in well engineering design, well construction and commercial experience for onshore operations.
Strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
Well Control Certificate up to date.
High level of numeracy, analytical and communications skills including report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to interface well with colleagues, and service providers.
Ability to drive issues and proactively influence others with sound technical reasoning.
Able to set priorities on competing issues according to value to business, and able to work in rapidly changing environment
Motivated, self-starting, independent individual with a high level of initiative
