Circa $180,000 – $190,000 package plus vehicle
Power & Telco Infrastructure Asset maintenance focus
This short term succession plan will see you to take the reins as Divisional Manager of this autonomous business operation within 4 to 6 months.
This well-established organisation provides specialist expertise and services to the major Utilities and Infrastructure providers, along with the Manufacturing sector, and the Industrial and Commercial Property sector. This business unit, which has an established foundation of clients in the Power Distribution sector has been steadily increasing their share of work with the existing clients while also diversifying into the Australian market place. They have strong potential for further growth having performed well and built strong relationships with existing clients while maintaining an impeccable record in HSE.
This will have strong appeal to ambitious Operations Managers, Regional Managers and existing Business Unit Managers.
The challenge is to maintain and build on their operational capability primarily in the North Island market, building on the competency and scale of the existing operation while not diluting the focus on service delivery. Ensuring operational performance levels are maintained, that client schedules are met and that the work place(s) are kept safe and incident free is essential. Key to this is ongoing workforce development through regular recruitment campaigns to ensure optimal workforce levels coupled with regular functional and HSE training programs.
You would manage the client relationships including leading any contractual negotiations. You would also operate as the prime Technical advisor ensuring that clients are kept up to date on improvements in materials, maintenance methods and any changes in technology that might enhance the functioning or the lifespan of their Assets.
You will provide pragmatic leadership to the existing team and proactively lead the client relationships. Hence proven leadership capabilities along with experience in client management gained in a Tier 1 or 2 Contracting environment is sought. You will be a Qualified Engineer (electrical, mechanical or chemical) with substantial experience in Project management, gained while providing services or products for maintenance and protection of Infrastructure Assets including Industrial facilities, Mechanical plant, Marine facilities, Oil and Gas plant and facilities or Transport Infrastructure.
You will possess the commercial acumen and professional business skills required to operate at the “sharp end” of the business. A successful track record achieved in managing a full P&L in medium to large-scale businesses is essential. A post-experience Dip Bus or MBA coupled with early tertiary qualifications is preferred.
A comprehensive remuneration package including car, benefits and bonus will be offered. This is a succession role in an organisation that’s on the move!
