    Continuing (i.e. permanent) position

Are you an experienced Fitter? Are you looking for a change in environment? Do you want to learn new skills?

The Engineering Services Group at the University of Canterbury is looking for an experienced and qualified Fitter to provide quality engineering support services in the repair, maintenance and operation of its facilities.

If you are looking for new challenges and need variety to motivate you, then this role will accommodate this while supporting a large site. You will be an integral part of a large team and be working with a variety of different tradesmen. You must be able to get on with all types of people. You will be required to hit the ground running and also be able to pick up new things very quickly. Your experience with maintaining a boiler plant as well as HEVAC systems would be an advantage and you must be able to work alone with minimum supervision.
