About the Organisation
Dayspring Trust is a 40-year old Charitable Trust committed to ensuring the tamariki of Auckland get the best start in life. We provide a wraparound range of support for women with babies/young children who have experienced severe postnatal depression or are living with an existing mental health issue.
In our commitment to building healthy families, and communities, we believe in the value of holistic care and support work in the emotional, spiritual and intellectual domains to support the wellbeing of the mother to enable their families to flourish and grow

The Opportunity
As Executive Officer reporting to Board, you will lead a highly capable team of 14 staff and volunteers focussed on delivering great outcomes for our clients and their family/whanau
This is a unique leadership role that will provide the right person with the opportunity to lead an already highly successful organisation, and to influence its culture, future growth and development.
This is an organisation that is ready to expand and develop its services to meet the needs of our changing communities. Your focus will be on positioning the organisation for ongoing success. Key to this will be ensuring good operational processes, cultivating innovation, building relationships, and ensuring there is the capability to meet demand in a timely and effective way.
The role is based in Auckland.

The key areas of expertise and experience that we are looking for include:
Proven experience with intrapreneurial or entrepreneurial management
Leadership skills for strengthening teams and persuading others to follow and execute their innovative ideas. Agile leadership skills to support rapid decision making under uncertainty
Knowledge of and / or experience with NGO’s in the Health sector
‘Greenhouser’ ability to germinate and drive forward intriguing ideas
Sound understanding of the economic drivers that allow an organisation to succeed and ability to support and action this.
Ability to model authenticity, integrity, humility and respect
Proven communication and relationship building skills across multi levels and sectors
Tertiary degree in operations management and/or health or related field and/or proven intrapreneurial experience
