Environmental Consultant – Ahikā Consulting – Dunedin

Job Description
We’re looking for someone with intermediate-senior level environmental management experience and the ability to apply flexible thinking to the planning and implementation of a variety of projects. We have an extensive range of projects underway and are interested in hearing from you if you have expertise in any part of the environmental management field.

Reporting to our Senior Consultant — Natural Environment & Community Planning you will:
Be responsible for developing and implementing site, farm-scale, landscape, community or catchment management planning projects or land capability assessments for mana whenua, landowners, community or catchment groups and local government.
Apply your technical knowledge and ability to manage projects to ensure the success of complex and challenging projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Assist in the development of further work streams and in the preparation of work (RFQ, EOI) and funding applications.
Work alongside other members of our team who have expertise in biodiversity, biosecurity, carbon and ETS, nutrient budgeting and GHG, community engagement and integrated catchment management planning.
