Unit Charge Sonographer – Manawatu – Whanganui District Health Board

Whanganui Hospital’s Radiology department is a busy friendly place that prides itself on offering a high quality service to patients and referrers. We have a range of modalities including a 1.5 Telsa MRI scanner and a 16 slice CT. Our ultrasound department consists of two rooms with a GE Logiq E9 and a Phillips Epiq.

We are looking for a Unit Charge sonographer to lead, develop our team and lead the department to achieve and maintain IANZ accreditation.
Applications are invited from sonographers who are NZ registered or eligible for NZ registration and are passionate about clinical leadership. Eligible candidates from overseas are welcome to apply. A key initial focus will be leading the improvement of quality and productivity for Whanganui DHB’s ultrasound service, and then optimising the service into the future. This is a permanent position that could be filled on a full time or part time basis, but the role must work 5 days per week Monday to Friday, plus rostered weekend on-call work.
