If you have a genuine interest in working with clients with alcohol and other drug issues; are a compassionate and experienced counsellor, come and join our collaborative and friendly team at CADS.
As a part of this dedicated team you will have your own case load of clients with AOD issues and Opioid Substitution Treatmen,t meaning you will have busy and varied days.
You will have regular contact with other DHB Mental Health services, and external NGO’s, so you will be an excellent communicator who is adept at interfacing with the clients themselves, colleagues and external organisations, always striving to ensure the best results.
You will bring to this role a solid understanding of addiction issues and experience in working with clients with co-existing-problems (CEP). You’ll be adept at and comfortable undertaking group facilitation and be able to demonstrate strength in screening, assessment, brief intervention, and clear decision making skills.
You will be excited at the prospect of working with other dedicated clinicians and be a real team player, able to embrace change and also use your initiative. You will be an innovative thinker who looks for the opportunity to develop their own role further.
This is a permanent part time role, of 24 hours per week.
A RN or other registered health professional with appropriate AOD qualifications and experience with CEP will be an advantage. It is preferable that you hold DAPAANZ registration or are currently working towards DAPAANZ.
