Programme & Digital Scheduler – Auckland – Trading as Choice TV

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for producing daily schedules consisting of accurate programme information, commercial breaks, promos, sponsorships, continuity & channel branding.
Making sure that all timing of playlists are accurate and running on time before releasing to playout.
Liaise with playout to ensure successful playlists and attend to matters arising in the schedule reports.
Ensuring all primetime promotions are scheduled accurately and in accordance with station or booking requirements, consistent with censorship requirements.
Scheduling of all off-peak promos via BTS Auto promo scheduler.
Creating the Freeview EPG and ensuring all data is accurate and updated at all times.
Where practicable, ensuring all scheduling is ahead of the weekly deadlines.
To generate a digital schedule of programmes within BTS to be played on the VOD platform.
To create and (occasionally) maintain data entries for programme episodes on the VOD platform using the CMS (content management system).
Liaise closely with relevant Programmers, Promotion Department and Advertising Teams to maximise synergy between on-air and off-air communication.
Providing ongoing support to the Programme & Digital Coordinator.
REPORTS TO: Head of Programming & Acquisitions

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Effective communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work both on your own and as part of a team will enable you to perform this role to Choice TV’s standards.
Previous experience within the media industry, in particular scheduling experience is desirable but not necessary. Knowledge of broadcasting/television workflows would be an advantage.
Exceptional planning, organization & time management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and highly responsive to changes at short notice.
Flexible ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn.
Ability to manage, drive and improve processes.
A passion for television.
