Production Manager – Euro Corporation

Euro Corporation is a well-established and highly successful manufacturer and distributor of trade quality reinforcing, steel and wire products for use in the rural and construction sectors. Our ability to deliver on our promises to our customers time and again, is largely supported by our high performing Manufacturing team.

As a result of our growth we are looking to appoint a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing team, based in Heritage Way, East Tamaki, Auckland.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing, coordinating and monitoring our Prefab, Mesh and Cut & Bend production.

In particular, the role will:
Provide sound leadership to the factory team, effectively managing manufacturing to ensure that the company strategic plan is effectively carried out.
Ensure that departments have supplies in sufficient time to manufacture and deliver in a timely manner, according to customer requests/workload.
Forecast, plan, organise and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Develop and increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
Ensure that the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with at all times and integral part of all personal work practices.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualification or strong production/engineering background
2 years production experience
Strong understanding or experience in manufacturing using Lean Principles
Strong people management and staff coaching skills
Equally comfortable in the factory and at a desk
It goes without saying that you’ll possess excellent attention to detail, great interpersonal skills and have the ability to cope well under pressure.
