WorkSafe New Zealand is the workplace health and safety regulator and our vision is to protect all people and property that everyone who goes to work comes home healthy and safe. We are charged with leading New Zealand to achieve better health and safety through engagement, education and enforcement strategies and processes

The Energy Safety team enforce the Electricity and Gas Acts and work hard to ensure the safe supply and use of gas and electricity. We are looking for the right individual with exceptional administrative skills and a positive attitude to join our team.

Are you an experienced senior administrator who thrives in a role where you can turn your hand to a wide range of tasks? Do you enjoy supporting a team to deliver on a range of priorities?

You will provide high quality administrative support to the manager and the Energy Safety team members. You will take responsibility for continuous improvement and consistency of administrative support resources, processes, tools and systems. From time to time there will also be project based activities to add diversity and challenge to the role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

Senior admin experience supporting a team
Initiative, pro-activeness and great organisational ability
Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
Excellent communication skill set – written and verbal
The ability to multitask, prioritise and manage a range of support and administrative functions, tasks, assignments and projects
Proven ability to develop trust and demonstrate high level customer service skills with staff and other stakeholders
The ability to quickly assimilate new information and areas of work
Energy and a can-do attitude
