This is an exciting opportunity to use your leadership, thinking, organisational and people skills to join MBIE in Immigration New Zealand’s (INZ’s) Settlement Unit.
As the Relationship Manager, Pacific Skills, your primary purpose is to support the settlement outcomes of Pacific migrants. You will work as part of the Settlement Unit of INZ and in particular with regionally-based Relationship Managers (RM’s) who are responsible for engaging decision makers and employers in regions, industry and workplaces to improve the settlement of migrants. This position can be based in Wellington or Auckland.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Identifying and building strategically important regional relationships that enable the Settlement Unit to improve the workplace contribution of Pacific migrants;
Using these relationships to influence planning, decision making and actions at a regional level; and gathering knowledge and information ‘from the field’ to inform unit planning and service delivery
Implementing a work programme that includes:
Assisting RM’s to define their role and the information and monitoring required to ensure regional efforts support Pacific migrant retention
Working with specific RM’s in regions that have identified priorities in settling Pacific migrants in employment
Improving settlement information provision and support for the Pacific Access Category (PAC) and Samoan Quota (SQ) programmes from off shore to arrival and settlement in New Zealand including tailoring existing settlement information to communicate well with new Pacific migrants
