Planning Lead, Assessment Division

The Planning Lead is a critical position and works closely with the division management team and Deputy Chief Executive of our Assessment Division.

You will work closely with the teams responsible for the delivery of NCEA external assessment, quality assurance of schools and providers assessment, and other key services in maintaining NZ qualifications. Our teams bring together skills and knowledge in education and assessment practice, logistics, technology, and data and analysis.

Day-to-day you will lead the development of our Divisional strategic and operating plans, ensuring these are well integrated into each business unit. Monitoring and driving the execution of these plans is then your next step.

Additionally, you will support the preparation of the Division’s input into NZQA’s accountability documents and strengthen our Business Continuity Plans, as well as being the key linkage between our activities and the other Divisions.

Of course, your relationship and influencing skills are second to none, as is your ability to identify, analyse and communicate critical issues. If you have experience in the development of strategic and operating plans, a drive to deliver and finish coupled with the ability to draft high quality papers for our Board and Ministers then you may be the person we are looking for!
