Mary Potter Hospice has a specialist inpatient unit in Newtown and three community palliative care teams based in Wellington, Paraparaumu and Porirua currently providing services to about 250 people at any one time. A key objective for Mary Potter Hospice’s future service model is to build community capability to meet the increased need for palliative care services.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with community palliative care experience to work within the community multidisciplinary team based with our Kapiti team. In this role you will be part of a highly committed team with responsibility for providing specialist palliative care coordination to patients and their families and whanau.
Applicants need to have a recognised postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in palliative care and a minimum of three years post registration palliative care experience. An understanding of and commitment to the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care is essential.
