Logistics Coordinator – Tegel Foods Ltd – Taranaki

Reporting to the New Plymouth Feedmill Production Manager, you will work closely with the Production Supervisor and Procurement Officer to execute your duties. This full time salaried role requires flexibility of working some weekend days and evenings to accommodate vessels at the Port.

Your role involves:

Supervision and management of contractors in adherence with the Grain Import System
Coordinating the logistics of grain from docked and discharging vessels
Coordination of the Offal and Ruminant Protein Control programs
Coordinating the management of the Bulk Stores ensuring adherence to Tegel Policies
Conducting supplier quality audits and controls requires
Running the training of intake staff
Provide backup cover for production

Ideally you will have experience in management of bulk ingredients, strong planning and organising skills, good time management and excellent communication skills.

You need to be computer literate being competent in Word, Excel and Outlook. It’s preferable that you have a minimum of two years’ logistics / distribution experience in a similar industry and any experience with quality audits will be an advantage.
