Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) serves the fastest growing DHB population in NZ. As an HR Advisor at Waitemata DHB, you will provide best practice HR advice and support to management and staff. You will be responsible for your own service portfolio and will work as a business partner to provide HR support in a wide range of operational HR areas, particularly with the interpretation and application of HR policies, legislation and collective agreements. There is also scope to undertake some project work. The pace is fast and the work can often be complex, so you must be able to prioritise your workload and deliver within the timeframes set by business demand.

The key to your success will lie in your ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and positively. You will also:
· possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and have analytical capability
have previous involvement in performance management, change management, and project work
demonstrate the ability to consistently provide proactive and positive solutions to the business in a timely manner
accept accountability for the decisions and outcomes within your sphere of influence
be a self-starter, always keeping a positive attitude and a sense of humour
have a minimum of 3 years in a generalist HR role
have a tertiary qualification in HR or business/or one in progress
HR experience in a unionised environment is preferred, but not essential.
