Our client is a highly regarded New Zealand company listed on both the New Zealand and Australian stock exchange.  As one of the leading providers in their sector, they are experiencing significant growth and are seeking a talented executive to assume responsibility for driving sales activity across the country, reporting to the Chief Executive.

This role requires an accomplished, inspirational leader with the ability to effectively lead a team of 20+ sales professionals working in a high growth environment.  In addition to developing and implementing sales strategies, the appointee will build appropriate sales infrastructure to enhance sales processes, technology systems and overall sales effectiveness to capitalise on the enormous opportunities ahead for the company given the dynamics of the sector.  Accordingly, we are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who have:

Experience operating as a Sales Director or sales oriented General Manager/CEO within a consumer oriented environment such as consumer products, telecommunications, media, financial services, travel/tourism et al. Individuals from B2SME settings are also likely to be relevant.
Deep understanding of sales best practice across development of customer value propositions, pipeline management and optimisation of sales performance.
First class leadership skills including an ability to develop staff by continually reinforcing accountability and recognising and rewarding high performance.
Strategic and operational planning skills.
Comfortable acting as the company representative at key external events.
Energetic, with a strong drive for results.
Effective written and oral communication, and an enthusiastic style of delivery.
