The Office of the Chief Executive is seeking applications from people who can thrive in a high paced, high performance and high profile environment. Working with a tight and experienced team to support the Manager of the Office of Chief Executive, the Chief Executive and the Executive Leadership Team, you will be a organised, innovative and cope well under pressure.
With a mix of administrative, programme and relationship support and maintenance responsibilities, you will need to be effective at working with a wide range of information, developing and enhancing key internal and external relationships and deal sensitively with a range of stakeholders.
A key first priority will be to work with the Manager of the Office of Chief Executive to develop a framework that provides effective oversight of activities closely aligned with the delivery of Council’s long term plan as well as assisting with the management of a significant external engagement programme.
The Office of the Chief Executive is not for the faint hearted. The ideal candidate will demonstrate working knowledge of the Council’s objectives and growth aspirations, an appreciation and understanding of the breadth and depth of key external relationships and an ability to identify risks and opportunities with mitigation or development strategies.
As a representative of the Office of the Chief Executive, you already work with a style that values people, ideas and transparency with a high degree of trust and confidence. You will reflect the Chief Executive both inside and outside the organisation, your ability to generate trust in relationships will be key to your success.
This is a fixed term appointment but you will have a hand in shaping the future of this role.
