We are seeking a new member for our Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) team at Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL). CHL is the leading medical diagnostic reference laboratory in New Zealand and the LIS team plays an essential role in supporting the information systems required by the laboratory.
The LIS team provides services to Canterbury District Health Board and a number of public sector laboratories across the country requiring team members to work closely together and liaise with both internal and external clients. The successful candidate will assist in providing application and technical support for the Laboratory Information Systems to ensure reliable, effective and secure service to users.
Key tasks will include system administration, application maintenance, programming/scripting and helpdesk support.
Applicants should preferably have a relevant tertiary computer qualification or equivalent systems administration and network experience, including Unix/Linux experience and lotus notes experience. An understanding of medical laboratory operations and laboratory information systems, preferably Delphic and demonstrated knowledge would be highly advantageous.
