The Role

CKL are looking for a driven and professional Chartered Professional Engineer to manage and inspire their Waikato engineering team which is based in their modern offices at Church Road, Hamilton.  A key component of this role will include expanding engineering opportunities through business development.  This will entail developing and implementing strategies to advance and grow CKL’s engineering services through their recent merger with Stormwater Solutions.  In addition you will provide strong leadership to your team and ensure that all engineering projects are completed on time and to budget.  You will provide a high standard of technical and professional services to clients and develop innovative ideas to improve efficiencies.

The Person

To be considered for this role you will have a proven background in civil infrastructure, good knowledge of current statutory and regulatory requirements and extensive recent and relevant NZ experience. You will also be practiced in leading a team of professionals, have the ability to apply analysis and design techniques to find innovative solutions and the ability to work methodically.  In addition you will demonstrate consistent delivery of high standards in a timely manner, be action oriented and possess excellent communication skills.

Geotechnical and structural experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.   This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part in the growth of the company.
