A well-established asset maintenance and contracting organisation with strong career progression opportunities based in Auckland. This successful Australasian Group is involved in the provision of maintenance services to the Infrastructure, Energy and Industrial services sectors. This role is based in Auckland. As the Planning Engineer, you will be given opportunity to develop your management experience and the support and mentoring to get you there.
Broadly based your role will include:
Project planning and engineering activities associated with shut maintenance and or capex projects
Managing quality assurance processes
Updating technical standards and processes
Advise on general engineering matters pertaining to protective coatings
Ideally you will be an existing Planning Coordinator or Planning Engineer with a Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent with at least 5 – 7 years of postgrad experience gained in the Mechanical Services sector. You will be working in a contracting organisation in either the Industrial services sector, general engineering, steel fabrication protective coating or a similar sector. To be successful, you should ideally have experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings. As a strong project planner, you would have well developed MS Project, Excel and Word skills/ experience. You must have experience working for a contractor as well as showcase the ability to write procedures, reports and technical documents.
Contracting experience gained either locally or overseas providing maintenance services for steel structures would be preferred. Experience with transmission towers would be an advantage.
Remuneration is flexible between $90,000 – $100,000 plus performance based bonus and benefits.
