Fulltime Lecturer – 1.0FTE

We are seeking a Lecturer to primarily teach on our Bachelor of Culinary Arts programmes. You may also be required to teach on other courses within the Food Design Institute.

This position will allow you to share your knowledge, passion and creativity with students who want to make a career in the food industry and professional Culinary Arts. This programme prepares students for a range of career outcomes: Restaurant/ Hotel Chef, Artisan Producer, Management, Media and Technology, or Tertiary Teaching.

You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in culinary arts education as well as an understanding of design practice as it relates to food product development, preferably through personal experience.

You will have experience in student/learner centred education, have a passion for teaching, demonstrate
evidence of an inspiring approach to teaching, excellent communication skills and be a positive and constructive team player.

A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in your discipline is essential, and it is anticipated you will be research active.

A qualification in tertiary teaching or a willingness to undertake training in this area is
desirable.
