In this fulltime position, reporting to the IT Manager, you will be using your outstanding communication skills and keen team-player attitude to work with our support office team, helping them with any and all IT-related queries and challenges. You will also pick up responsibility for Gull’s in-house servers and systems and be ready to help look for ways to further streamline the way we do things.
Along with experience providing support to end-users, you will be familiar with Windows server environments (both physical and virtual), plus have a working understanding of accounting packages. Third-tier support will be available to you via third-party contractors so you don’t need to know all the answers, just how to get them.

Based in Takapuna, the position will be largely be office-based. Due to the 24/7 nature of fuel retailing some after-hours reactive work may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned
Respond to and be responsible for user requests. These include (but are not limited to):
Administer user accounts and access to all IT&T systems
Provides support to end-users in the usage of software programs and hardware
Ensure all desktop and laptop systems are maintained to the company standards
Ensure all software applications are functioning as intended
Ensure all printing systems are functioning at all times
Provide management data for adhoc requests and assist in report creation
Be responsible for the ongoing operation of Gull servers and corporate systems. This includes (but is not limited to):
Administer and maintain corporate server (physical and virtual) functionality and stability
Manage corporate data storage, backup and retrieval functions
Administer and maintain the integrity of the corporate ERP system
Track and co-ordinate the maintenance of all computer assets
Ensure network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) is functioning correctly at all times
Maintain and test disaster recovery plans
Aid in implementation of system upgrades and enhancements
Audit software licensing and usage, and identify requirements
Administer and maintain corporate IP Telephony systems
Maintain IT&T System records and documentation
Other duties include:

Identify better ways of utilising IT resources and report on foreseeable requirements
Monitor system performance and assist in capacity planning
Administrator-level knowledge of all Gull’s IT systems
