Senior Knowledge Management Adviser (Records Management) – Ministry for the Environment – Wellington

This is a full-time, permanent role located in our Wellington office.
 
Define the future of Knowledge Management at the Ministry for the Environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Information Management team to define and deliver the strategic direction for the Ministry’s Knowledge Management function.  Reporting to the Manager, Information Management, this position will play a key role in delivering results that contribute to creating a modern IM environment.

This position offers variety and opportunity to build and enhance your skills by being involved in multiple projects which define the future of Knowledge Management at the Ministry.

The future information and knowledge management environment is yours to create.  You will be responsible for investigating the feasibility and building the case to move to a digital world minimising paper records.  You will be instrumental in future implementations of electronic document management system enhancements and drive the day to day management of information services.

To be successful in the role, you’ll be happy operating in the strategic space with a strong interest or understanding of Information Management, Knowledge Management and/or IT.  You will be able to think strategically and work on policy development with a strong focus on the users, customers and business outcomes.

You’ll need to have an in-depth level of knowledge management and experience in libraries or information and records management services.  You may have led a small team or are looking for the next step in your career.
 
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate experience within the following areas:

delivering organisational change
developing customer rapport and delivering results
exceptional relationship management skills
the ability to create and maintain effective networks, especially across government
experience in identify risks and recommend solutions
provide solutions in a clear and logical manner

Salary range for this role is $85,238 to $115,322 and appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
