Microsoft Development Team Leader – Infotech Consulting – Auckland

We are seeking a top Microsoft Development Team Leader looking for a new challenge.

Our client, a leading Auckland software development company wishes to appoint a new Development Team Leader to strengthen their current development team.

Our client is widely regarded as one of Auckland’s top organisations of its type. They have expanded without losing that small team feel, so essential to encourage innovation and development – as well as making a great and challenging working enviornment.

They have a mix of long-standing and stable client relationships but are always on the hunt for new clients and projects. Often a new client will develop from a small project, and it is imperative that four and five figure projects be given the same attention as six figure ones.

Working from premises just south of Newmarket, you will be expected to be capable of working on various corporate client projects and requirements.  You will need to have the ability to be able to work at several levels including being a Solutions Architect, leading and working with Microsoft Development team, and working with clients to elicit their business requirement, and addressing those in terms of possible technology solutions.

A minimum of eight years development experience in a Microsoft back-end, web and mobile environment is required.  You will also need to be able to demonstrate Solution Architecture skills, and have the ability to lead and manage development teams and project delivery. That means being able to strike the right balance between the elegance and practicality of a solution and collaborating with a client in that regard. Then you will need to be able to deliver the project.

Our client runs a multi-project environment – and you need to be sufficiently versatile to work on several projects at one time all at different stages of the development cycle. A very deep and sound understanding of the Microsoft product stack is required. Sharepoint knowledge would useful.

You will need the interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work with developers, clients, and management. You should be experienced in working with both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies. Experience in mobile and other application environments is preferred.
