We are looking for a friendly and approachable customer service focused individual to join the office of the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch as our Receptionist/Administrator.
Located at Cathedral House in Washington Way, the administrative base of the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch provides administrative support to the Catholic Bishop of Christchurch. This position reports directly to the Manager Finance and Support Services, and its primary objective will be to provide professional and efficient front line reception duties welcoming visitors and those making contact with Cathedral House.
This role involves providing front of office support by receiving and directing calls, greeting and communicating with all visitors to the Diocesan Office, as well as a wide range of office and database administration tasks, to keep our office functioning perfectly.
Your friendly, professional and customer-focused approach will reflect your ability to easily deal with whatever comes your way. Positive communication skills, a good telephone manner, patience, tact and excellent spoken and written English are all essential skills for this role. You must be highly organised and versatile, able to work independently and have a patient, tactful and supportive attitude. A strong ability across the Microsoft Office suite of products is essential.
This experience will be supported by an affinity with the Catholic faith, the ability to work within a team and with a wide range of stakeholders, strong empathy and exceptional personal integrity. Most importantly you will have an exceptionally high customer service ethic with proven experience in a similar role.
