AUT University School of Art & Design – 3D Labs technical support staff
The School of Art & Design in the Faculty of Creative Technologies has excellent facilities for making 3 dimensional objects including wood and metal workshops, digital fabrication (CNC router, laser cutters, 3D printers) and wet lab (mould making, casting, fiberglass and spray painting).
We are looking for a competent woodworker and metalworker and wet lab experienced practitioner with managerial skills to help establish and support all aspects of our 3D Labs facility. We are looking for a capable person who has a tertiary qualification (certificate / diploma / degree) or industry qualification/experience appropriate to the level required to perform the job effectively and efficiently.
The role will also involve providing support and assistance to the Technical Services Manager and take on a project management and coordination role in activities across Faculty Research Institutes and Technical Facilities.
