A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Trust during an exciting time of organisational change. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will need to ensure the Finance team’s activities are aligned with the organisational objectives and values. Ideally you will already be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least five years experience in a financial management role.
This position oversees a small accounting team and is responsible for financial and business operations reporting, including budget preparation, forecasting and annual statements. Success in this role will come from the strength of your leadership, and your ability to provide sound advice to key stakeholders within the organisation.
This is a busy ‘hands-on’ role with a workload to match, so you will need to be confident working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. In addition, we are looking for:
You are a natural leader and enjoy growing and managing your team
You hold an Accounting qualification, or a business degree
Proven experience in work allocation, managing processes and projects
Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss financial concepts with the wider business
Ability to foster positive relationships while maintaining integrity in your work
Meticulous attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
An analytical aptitude with a customer centric attitude to match
A commitment to tikanga Maori and the ability to incorporate it into your daily work
The ability to speak te reo Maori would be an advantage but not essential
NZ Permanent Residence or Citizenship Clear Ministry of Justice check
Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
Experience within the disability/health/NGO sector would be desirable.
