Desktop Administrator, 6-month fixed term
We’re looking for a Desktop Administrator to join our Service Desk team for the next six months.
Our environment is Microsoft-based, and we have about 400 staff working in seven locations in New Zealand. Most of our staff work offsite and rely heavily on their laptops, mobile data cards\hubs, and Windows 8.1 phones.
We need someone passionate about customer service and with good analytical skills. You’ll have a friendly personality and be able to build relationships quickly.
Strong communication skills and an ability to effectively manage faults, incidents, and queries will make you successful in this role.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
strong experience in Microsoft Windows 7, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013, and in supporting a variety of business applications;
Microsoft qualifications for desktop support;
varied and strong experience in an enterprise desktop support environment, both onsite and remotely;
sound knowledge and understanding of service desk and desktop support standards and practices, call management, fault management, incident management, change management, IT security, and user policies;
excellent communication skills and the ability to help staff with applications; and
proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
