Senior accounts administrator (parttime)

Established family owned & operated group of companies in the aged care and retirement village industry requires a senior accounts administrator.

We own and operate two villages in West Auckland and North Shore incorporating both aged care and retirement living. We have been operating since 1997 and expect to continue to grow as we expand our villages.  Our offices are based in Albany Village.

The role will involve all aspects of back office accounting functions including:

debtors & creditors,
cashflow and bank reconciliations,
payroll,
reconciliations of some balance sheet items,
prepare and post journal entries,
preparation of monthly accounts,
assist in budgets preparation,

This is a parttime position with flexible hours. You will be working with another accounts administrator, reporting to the CFO.

We are looking for a person who is:

Proficient in MYOB, MYOB payroll and Excel.
Has a basic understanding of accounting in order to do journal entries.
Relevant experience in the accounting functions listed above.
Organized and can work meticulously even when under pressure at times.
Flexible and prepared to take on the unexpected or unusual, being in a small office.
Able to work about 20 hours each week. Days and time of work are negotiable.
